Have you enjoyed what you have seen, or read, on this site? Can you imagine yourself captured in the art I create and have displayed on this site? I have some specific areas of focus listed as projects below, but if I liked it enough to show on this site, chances are I'd be willing to play with it again as well.

Before I get to the projects though, there are a few things you should probably know about me and what I'm like to work with:

I'm a big believer in open and clear communication. I don't want there to be any surprises for you at any point (other than how amazing the products of working together are). I encourage you to ask questions, clarify any ambiguity, establish lines and limits, and I will do the same. All of this pre-project ramble is an attempt to get the process started, not to be complete.

As a 'starving artist', I'm not making money from what I do as an artist, I may never, and if I do, it would be years after the actual act of creation. Consequently, compensation for participation is mostly limited to a copy of the output of the activity in which you participate, with some participation being able to spend some time capturing images more in a theme of your choosing. Some of the projects will create things other than images, so compensation will align to the output of the project.

There is a focus on end quality in my work, but a relaxed attitude and willingness to listen to and incorporate additional ideas along the way. When shooting for example, I tend to shoot a lot, sort it out later, rather than trying to make each shot perfect, and after I'm pretty sure I've got the shot in a given look, then I really encourage some playful experimentation.

Learning is a constant. I don't have it all figured out at all, and mistakes happen constantly. I do strive to only make the same mistake a few times though, I tend to get bored with the same ones quickly. Part of this all means that I'm likely to try something new with you, and not every idea will result in success; though I am confident that we can get good outcomes in the overall process.

I'm an introvert, and I have a relatively narrow focus. When I'm focused on shooting, that's pretty much all I can focus on, so I'm not really able to talk while I'm shooting. It also ends up that I don't like people around who aren't directly involved in the creativity project.

All of the learning means I'm definitely able to share knowledge, and more than happy to most of the time. Want to learn how to model? I've taught a fair few. Interested in anything else that I do creatively, or know generally, happy to teach.

When we work together, I will do my best to set up an outline of expectations for when post work art based compensation will be done. For example, I tend to be able to edit an image a week, but if I know I've got travel planned for the next two, I'll let you know of the delay. I'll also keep you updated if I can't meet expectations at any point. I've had computers die which set me back a couple weeks for example.

Not everyone gets along with anyone. I'm a cantankerous curmudgeon for sure. If you don't like me, before or during working together - just say so, and we're done. I don't want you uncomfortable and forcing yourself through it, among other things, it shows in the art which makes any creative effort a waste of time. My personality is not a discomfort I want you to endure, but most people seem to get along with me pretty well.

I'm pretty particular in who I work with in terms of appearance. While I'm no longer as active as I was, as a former competitive swimmer, I have a deep appreciation for athletic figures. I am not generally into tattoos in my imagery, but piercings are most often fine. I don't like surgically enhanced looks - whether botox, or implants. If I don't like your look for the project you may be interested in, I'll let you know, and will let you know if there's anything else I think you may be suitable for.

If we're working together, I want to be working with YOU. Bring your personality and expect to show it. I'm not after a cookie cutter look or set of poses and expressions, but want you to show your self into the art being created.

Lastly, in the spirit of fully open communication, working with me is likely to involve some levels of discomfort, whether stupid early wake up (I've woken at 11pm to get to a location), being naked, getting wet and possibly cold, getting covered in paint or colored powders, tied up, etc. I'll try to call out some of the discomforts I can predict easily within each project. Don't worry, you aren't the only one suffering.
